Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday
Title: Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday
Medium: Acrylic on Paper
Dimensions: 20” x 26”
Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday is a deeply personal acrylic painting that captures the emotional storm of standing at the center of time, overwhelmed by the past, weighed down by the present and trying to imagine a peaceful future.
The piece reflects the emotional complexity of my journey. The past is filled with moments of self-doubt and fear of failure, memories that still linger. The present feels like a pressure cooker, crowded with expectations from teachers, parents and peers. And yet, I hold on to the hope of a future where I feel light, steady and content.
This painting blends emotion and time into a single visual narrative. Through swirling forms, layered brushwork, and deliberate color choices, I’ve tried to portray what it feels like to be stretched across three timelines at once - anxious, hopeful, and real.
This work is a reminder that emotional growth is rarely linear. It’s chaotic, personal and ongoing.
